No enterprise can thrive chasing yesterday’s signatures

We can’t drive tomorrow’s revenue with yesterday’s tactics.

People change. Business needs migrate over time. The complexion of the world becomes different every six months.

And so, the only way to grow into the future is to move with the times. All opportunity demands that we evolve, otherwise our brand treads water at best, and goes the way of the dodo at worst.

No enterprise can thrive chasing yesterday’s signatures. I don’t care what industry you work in, it’s almost certain that current issues have rendered old strategies inadequate. We all need to figure out what needs to change about the way we do business in the face of emerging challenges.

One question that’s been helpful for me to ask is this:

How might you grow predictable revenues by providing a recurring service, rather than selling a transactional product?

This represents a massive paradigm shift. Because the question forces you to get out of the business of exchanging your time for money. Rather than spending your most valuable resource to get more of it, you focus on building equity.

Creating assets that actually produce income without your direct time.

Remember, the only way to grow into the future is to move with the times.

Evolution may not be taught in schools, but that doesn’t make it any less vital to human thriving.
